And the spell was cast..

Hello my little caterpillars,
You should know, I'm a huge lipstick addict. I have soooo many lipsticks I don't even have any space left to put them, it's almost embarrassing. :$ And last week I meant to quickly go to Sephora, you know, just to see if anything new came out which might be interesting and just to pick some stuff up I was out of.. But it didn't quite go as planned.. I passed the Chanel make-up counter and since I've never been that into the Chanel make-up line, well I've never found anything extraordinary about their make-up I absolutely needed to have.. Well.. Until now.. Anyway I thought I'll just have a look at it, when these two babies caught my eyes. And the love curse was cast, I had to have them no matter what! Literally guys, we have three Sephora's in Luxembourg and I went to all three of them to get these! However, the goodies I'm talking about are the Chanel 40 and 47 lipsticks. Guys! I am speechless, they are so beautiful!

Aren't these babes just gorgeous? I have to admit I had A LOT of problems taking these pictures since my camera wouldn't focus but I did my best. Also the colours are actually slightly darker than in the pictures (so annoying!!).

So the first one's the 40 "La Sensuelle" lipstick which is a dark reddish colour. I was looking for this type of colour for so long, now it's finally here! And it looks fabulous on your lips.

The second one's the 47 "L'Amoureuse" which is a medium purple colour. SO beautiful!
The texture of these lipsticks is so smooth and hydrating, it's amazing.

Yep, I HAD to share these goodies with you! I totally recommend these to you (: the only thing negative about them is that they're pretty pricy ): they're about 33 € each :/ but in my opinion they're totally worth it.

What are your favourite lip colours? Tell meeeee (:

"Leibster" and "Infinity Dreams" Awards

Hello my little caterpillars,
In the past week I've been nominated twice for some kind of chain message for bloggers the "Leibster Awards" and the "Infinity Dream Awards" which were both pretty similar if not the exact same thing so decided to put both into one post. I have to admit that my first nomination was about a week or a little bit longer ago and I'm sorry it took me so long, but the thing is like you'll see in the rules below you have to nominate 11 bloggers/blogs which you really like and well I don't really know that many which I REALLY like and I won't be recommending something or someone to you if I'm not that into it, you know? I'll be honest I don't have 11 blogs.. I'm a very picky person when it comes to recommendations.. And well, I didn't find a lot of blogs I liked which weren't already nominated.. If you could do blogging as a full time job would you?

Absolutely, I love nothing more than sharing and helping people by telling them my experience and my thoughts about certain things. Blogging has become such a big part of my life even though I didn't  start that long ago.

Absolutely, I love reading! I'm currently reading the game of thrones. (;

Favourite high street clothes shop?

I don't have any favourite shops, I just go into some random shops and buy what I like :$

That was all for this post. Thank you for reading and ladies have fun answering my questions I'm looking forward to read your answers (:

A cold never stopped anyone from being pretty

Hello my little caterpillars,
Since I've been having a cold for over a week now, I figured I could write about all the beauty tips I use when I'm sick.

First of all you want to keep warm and be comfy. What I do (when I decide to stay at home) is to wear some fluffy socks and a wide sweater or buttoned shirt (for me it's a flannel of course (; ) with some nice looking leggings or in my case yoga pants :b yeah I know, you're sick why should you care about how you look, well you absolutely don't have to. But if you might have to go out grocery shopping or anything else that might be necessary at that moment it comes kind of handy to look okay. Besides if anyone would happen to come over or simply lives with you or maybe it just makes you feel better about yourself, you might not want to look like one of the zombies from The Walking Dead. ^^

For your face you should start by washing with your favourite cleanser. I use the Ella Baché Creme Soap which helps you get rid of any excess oil and combat (yes combat it's a war people! haha) all redness and pimples. After that you want to hydrate your skin since it has the tendency to be very dry and well doesn't feel nice at all when you're sick. Again from Ella Baché I use the Tomato Based Moisturiser ..... which feels really nice on your skin and smells heavenly.

If you want to put some kind of make-up on to look a little less pale, I would recommend a tinted moisturiser or a BB Creme. It feels lighter on your face then any kind of foundation and will still give your skin a natural glow. But first you want to apply some concealer to hide your dark circles and any redness, which you surely will have especially around your nose since you probably will have to blow a lot. I use my all time favourite I've been using this one for about two years I'm in love with it, it's the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach. Then set all of this with some translucent powder.

Personally I don't like to do my brows when I'm sick but you can do as you want, I would fill them in with the Mac eyeshadow in Brun and fix them with some clear brow gel as always. Last but not least you'll want your eyes to pop a little without overdoing it so just curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and pop on some mascara. For me it'll be the love of my life the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara of course.
Finally for your hair, you may do as you like. I mostly wear my hair up in a messy bun or a ponytail when I'm sick because I kind of feel like it's overwhelming and suffocating I don't know I just don't like it.

Don't forget to drink a lot of water and hot tea!

What are your beauty / "get better" secrets? Tell me in the comments :D

Ain't got nothing for your Valentine?

Hello my little caterpillars,
I told you before that I would do a second Valentine's Day DIY if I would get it the way I wanted, only I didn't know it would come up so late so forgive me for that. I was sick yesterday and had a few hours to finally prep my second present before my lovely boyfriend came to take care of me. :$ Since I didn't have my car and I couldn't leave the house, I couldn't go buy the missing items that I needed to finish the DIY and so I couldn't post this article yesterday, sorry. But better late than never right?
So my second present idea is the 52 reasons why I love you jar, but since my love and I haven't been dating for a year I did the 36 reasons why I love you jar.

You will need:
  • a jar
  • a ruler
  • a pencil
  • a paintbrush
  • some very thin paper or tissues (I found this lovely paper which is specially made to used with some glossy glue, the brand is called Decopatch)
  • some glossy glue (from the same brand)
  • one or two (depends on how many reasons you want to make) big coloured paper sheets

First you want to cut your.... let's call it Decopatch paper into the size and shape that you want.

Then use your brush to put a generous amount of glue onto the spot you'd like to put your piece of paper on.

After that, place your piece of paper onto the glued spot and again put a coat of glue (a thinner one this time) onto it starting from the centre towards the ends. Since you could still see the script of my jar through the paper I had to do this step twice to fully cover it up.

While your glue is drying you can start making your cards, mine are 7 cm wide and are 5 cm high, but the size totally depends on you. To be honest this step took me quite a while to get done with.

Cut them out and write your reasons down.

Write your title.

Finally decorate it the way you want. Since my cards are pretty stiff I couldn't roll them together and the inside of my jar looked pretty flat and boring, so I've put some dark red feathers in to give it more volume, I also glued a heart on the lid and hang a tag on the back (: and you can add so much more!

I really hope this didn't come too late and that I could help you.

What are your Valentin's Day present ideas?

My magical unicorn finally found it's way to me

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW LITTLE CATERPILLARS!
Yes I am really really happy/excited right, because my ElectricByEvelina jewelry finally arrived!!!! I've been waiting for this for 2 whole months and it's finally here!! As you may know (or maybe not) since I already wrote a post about her, I've been an enormous fan of Evelina Barry for a long time and she's the one who inspired me to even start a blog. When she announced that she would launch a jewelry line, I was the most excited person ever. Plus after I saw that little unicorn necklace I just had to place that order immediately don't you agree? The problem was I didn't know what colour to go for.. Gold?? Or silver?? I'm usually more of a silver person (piercings, rings etc.) but I thought it was time to change a little so I decided to go with the gold ones. (;
I ordered three pieces, two necklaces and one ring and I'm surely NOT disappointed at all.

The first necklace I ordered is the Molten Bar (the upper centre one) which is a simple golden bar with an octagon between two cute triangles, it's just so cute and can be worn with everything. The second necklace is of course the Geometric Unicorn still in gold. Most adorable necklace I've ever seen! I have to admit it's way smaller than I expected but I'm totally fine with it, it makes the unicorn even more adorable. :$ And finally I ordered the Geo Double Ring, I chose the smallest size there was, but since I have the thinnest fingers ever, I have to wear it on my index which again isn't as bad as long as it does fit a finger don't you think? But if you have the same problem or on the contrary you fingers are too wide, I went back not the website and there is now a adjustable version of the ring (:

Like the jewelry wasn't amazing enough, it came into the cutest little bag. It's a small black leather bag with logo on it. You can totally use it to place your jewelry in afterwards or any other kind of small stuff ADORABLE right?

I just want to thank Evelina so badly for all these wonderful pieces and all the sharing she does. She's great and an inspiration to a lot of us. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Until next time little caterpillars,

xoxo,
J.

PS. You can order pieces on of Evelina's line click here but be quick it's selling out pretty quickly!

Everyday make-up goodies

Hello little caterpillars,
You may or may not know but I'm a pretty casual person, I'm not the kind of girl who needs a tone of make-up to go through the day, but a good foundation and some mascara are the best friend of every girl. What I'll be doing now is introduce you to all the goodies I use for my everyday make-up and how I apply it.

Let's start the make-up routine properly by using primer. I use two actually, don't ask me why I always did. First I apply the Sephora Smoothing Primer using my fingers, then I use the Porefessional by Benefit Cosmetics on all the areas I have pretty big pores like on my chin, on the sides of my nose and my forehead, this with my fingers as well.

Next on the list is concealer, again I use two, one as an actual concealer the other to cover up all redness and imperfections. So first I apply with a concealer brush the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach under my eyes to cover my dark circles and on the corners of my nose, after cleaning my brush  I apply the Mac Concealer in NW20 on every redness and/or imperfection I have on my face. It gives you great coverage and will last all day long.

It's time for foundation. I use the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation in Beige 3. This foundation is heaven! It's perfect if you have oily skin since it's oil-free and it gives you great coverage. The brush I'm using to apply it is the Sigma F50 Duo Fibre brush.

Now this is a step I often forget to do to be honest, so most of the time I apply it at the very end of the routine, but it is better to apply it over your foundation so it sets correctly. I'm talking about translucent powder. This is the Make Up For Ever HD Powder which I really really like, it sets your foundation so it'll last all day long. The brush that goes with it in my routine is the Sephora 45 Mineral Powder brush.

For the brows now I've been using the Mac Shadow in Brun. I've been using this one for years and it never disappointed me. The name of the brush I'm using to apply it faded so I can't give you any information about it ): but I do remember that I got it at Sephora a few years back. Then I fix these cute brows with the Make Up For Ever Transparent Brow Gel.

Like I said before, I'm pretty casual so I usually just pop on some mascara and I'm ready to go. Nothing fancy at all. So first I'll curl my lashes for about 10-15 seconds, then I'll apply a coat of the Benefit Cosmetics Bas Gal Lash followed by the love of my life: The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. No need for fanciness the lashes this mascara gives you is more than enough.

A few last steps to give your face some proper shape: bronzer, highlight and blush. I am madly in love with the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil, it smells heavenly and is mat which I really like. For the highlight I like to use a little amount of the Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish which is very shiny so go easy on it if you don't want to look like a disco ball. (; Finally for blusher I'm using the Sephora's N°10 Romantic Rose. Oh I almost forgot! For the bronzer I am using the RealTechniques Setting brush, for the highlight I am simply using my fingers and for blush I'm using the RealTechniques Blush brush.

And to set all of this make-up I'm spraying my face with the Urban Decay All Nighters Setting Spray.
You're make-up will last all day long thanks to this little baby.

And here is the final look, it seems like a lot of products but it doesn't look like it at all. You'll look healthy and put together without overdoing it.

What are your make-up essentials? Tell me in the comments (:

Cute gift for your valentine

Hello my little caterpillars,
As you may know Valentine's Day is closer than ever and after years of loving and gifting you may be out of original ideas to offer your special someone. So I may be able to help you a tiny little bit. I found the cutest idea on Pinterest and I'll be happy to share this cuteness with you. Like I said it isn't huge but it's the gesture that counts right? Plus it's a just small reminder that there's someone who thinks and cares about that one person. I might post another small gift idea later on if I'll be able to realise it the way I want it (; So this DIY will show you how to give your loved one an original message based on a clothes pin, a... Clothes pin messenger? Clothes pin Cupid? (Give me some name ideas in the comments(; ) This is really easy to realise and I think it's adorable.
Let's get started.

You will need:

  • 1 clothes pin
  • a small piece of paper which should fit onto the tip of the clothes pin
  • some glue
  • a black, a red and white pen (I didn't have a white one so I had to do it without, but actually you can use whatever colour you want)

First you'll want to fold the piece of paper into a accordion kind of shape so it will fit correctly into the tip of your clothes pin. Then write a message on your piece of paper so that it will be visible when you'll open the pin.

Glue both ends of the paper onto each side of the pin.

Decorate, draw, write something on your pin however and whatever you'd like it to look like. Let your imagination go wild (;

Tadaaaa there it is all cute and ready to be offered. I hope you'll have a wonderful Valentine's Day with or without a partner, enjoy.

Tell me in the comments if I should do more DIY's.

Easy hair treatment

Hello my little caterpillars!
It's Saturday morning, the sun's finally decided to show itself here in Luxembourg and for me it's time to wash my hair. If you have blond hair you probably know all the trouble which comes with it. Your hair is broken, it gets yellow, you get the worst split ends and it feels like straw. It's no secret you have to take care of it after all the aggressions and purple shampoos you make it go through. So today I decided to give my hair a healthy treatment. I went for a coconut oil mask. It's more than easy to do. All you'll need is a jar of coconut oil and a shower cap or a warm towel.

I went for the BioPlanète Virgin Coconut Oil which I got at a local health food store.

First scoop some of the oil onto a spoon. (My jar was in the cellar so it was pretty cold and it wasn't easy to scoop the right amount at once so what I did was that I scooped what I could get, I put it in my hands and rubbed them together so that both my hands were covered in clear oil).

Saturate your hair with the oil, take more if you need to. Run through your hair with a wide tooth comb.

Clip it to the top of your head and put on a shower cap or if you don't have one just wrap of warm towel around your head and leave it in for about 30-40 minutes. When the time is up, go and wash your hair, I washed it twice to be sure there was no oil left in my hair.
I'll be honest and admit it was the first time that I tried this treatment and I'm positively surprised. My hair feels so soft and healthy. Mhmmmmmmm so soft. :$

Tell me about your hair secrets in the comments! I'll be delighted to try them out.

This was my hair treatment tip, I hope it helped you out and I wish you a wonderful day.

xoxo,
J.

Hmm.. Make-up Goodies :$ (Paris Make-up Haul)

Hello my little caterpillars,
A little while ago I promised you a Paris make-up haul, so........... Here it is :D
Like I said in my Paris fashion haul, Paris did spoil me in every possible way. And since there are so many stores we don't have in my country I just had to go crazy over there right? It was my duty to buy all this stuff don't you think? :p Anyway let's get started shall we?

I know it's not THAT much stuff but I still think I got kind off spoiled, because it's only stuff I wouldn't find around here and you know, I'm feeling kind of blessed right now :p

For starters, I went crazy at Mac where I filled my eyeshadow collection a little. So I arranged two palettes, a two shadow palette and a four shadow one. The two shadow palette contains a combination I picked up from Zoella in one of her videos (I will link her channel below) : Amber lights and Bronze. The combo is amazing, I put it on to go clubbing with a whole black outfit. Loved it. The second palette just has the colour Brun which I actually use to fill my eyebrows and some other colours I thought would look cute and I just didn't have before, it can be very handy to have all of them into one palette when I'm at my boyfriend's place and we decide to go out. That way I don't have to carry that many different big palettes. So the darker pink shade is called Pink Venus, the light pinkish colour's named Sweet Lust and finally lighter colour which I would use to highlight my inner corners and the brow bone's called Shroom.  I have the feeling I wrote the word palette like 5x. Oh well, never mind :D

Still from Mac, I got two lipliners. The Kiss Me Quick which is a wonderful red colour which is a great with the Ruby Woo lipstick by Mac as well and Currant who is a dark purply colour which I am in love with! Finally I got Pleasant Plum which is like the name says a kind off plum/cherry coloured lipliner by Sephora. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I will soon. Promise.

Since Mac is dominating this Haul, let's just stick with it shall we? This is the limited edition  Keepsakes Studio Brush Kit. I've been looking for this one during the three whole days I've been there, I practically have been looking for it in every Mac Store there was, since it was always this one who was sold out. But eventually I finally got it after killing my legs and feet.

Let's move to other make-up tools/brushes. First I found the 217 Blending brush by Mac, since I've only got one blending brush in my brush collection I thought that a second one would come in pretty handy when mixing/blending some different shades together and you have to clean the brush to continue, problem solved people! Then I got the 45 Mineral powder brush by Sephora which I really needed since mine was a wrack. And finally I just got an eyelash curler since mine is getting pretty old and I thought this one was terrific.

Last but definitely not least, the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Powder which is a bronzing powder. OH MY GOD guys I am in love with this product! It smells so good!! I first discovered the Chocolate version in the palette my sister gave me for my birthday which I'd already mentioned in another post. I totally fell for the smell and promised myself to buy it when I get the occasion, so I did... I bought three of them.  No kidding. But since my skin is pretty fair during the winter I had to go with the Milk Chocolate version, still I do not regret it at all! This is the best bronzer ever guys! Go for it!

That was finally it for this haul I hoped it was at your convenience and you might get some shopping ideas.

Until then,

xoxo,
J.
